Festival 2021 without Walking on Cars

Sad news from Irland: Walking on Cars, one of the best Irish alternative rock bands of recent years, announced on 20th August  that from now on the four musicians will go their own way. The band will therefore not be at the 7th blacksheep Festival, 24th to 26th June 2021.

We are very much upset, because we would have loved to welcome Patrick Sheehy, Sorcha Durham, Paul Flannery and Evan Hadnett at our festival and numerous fans have been looking forward to it. The debut album from WoC, “Everything this Way”, has climbed to the top of the Irish album charts in 2016. In the same year WoC also made its breakthrough in Germany. The single “Speeding Cars” rose to number 18 in the German single charts.

Now the band is history: They are all active in different projects, WoC writes on Instagram. Fans could keep up to date on the musicians’ individual social media channels.

We are currently working on a replacement for Walking on Cars that would have performed on Friday, 25th June, as well as Kid the Child, Jack and the Weatherman, Steve’n’Seagulls, Toby and Uriah Heep. And we will keep you up to date too on our social media channels.
