We’re excited to introduce a new live music series: The 1st blacksheep Americana Night!

Americana is a mixture of rock, country, folk, blues, blues rock, southern rock and singer-songwriter music, which not only finds an ever-growing fan base in the home of the genre, the USA. Americana is also very popular in Europe. For the 1st blacksheep Americana Night on Saturday, 4th February, 2023, from 7.30 p.m. in the Waldhaus in Heilbronn, we present you with three great acts: Robert Jon & The Wreck, Meghan Parnell & Dave Barnes and Markus Rill.

Robert Jon & The Wreck now play on an equal footing with calibers such as Blackberry Smoke or Whiskey Myers. In 2015, this fantastic band from Orange County/California rushed into the circle of established and new, young southern rock bands with their debut album “Glory Bound” out of nowhere and played their way into the hearts of the eternally hungry fans in no time.

“We travel the nation, drink whiskey and play the music we love.” This is how the five bearded gentlemen from Southern California describe themselves and put another wonderfully banging piece of music without frills on the turntable or in the CD player album after album . And recently, of course, also as a stream on Spotify and Apple Music.

MEGHAN PARNELL & DAVE BARNES

Meghan Parnell and Dave Barnes are the driving force behind Bywater Call, a powerful 7-piece southern soul, roots rock band from Toronto, Canada. The duo offers a mix of stripped down originals and covers ranging from southern soul to folk to delta blues, showcasing Meghan’s raw, emotional voice and Dave’s masterful slide guitar. MARK RILL

Since 1997, Markus Rill from Würzburg has been proving that you don’t necessarily have to have American roots in your genes to be able to write and sing authentic folk & country songs as a true Bavarian. In addition to countless live concerts in Germany and beyond, there is practically no long break in publication in his extensive back catalogue.

We look forward to three outstanding acts, all represented by the Heilbronn record label Blue Rose Records, with whom we also work regularly at the blacksheep festival. The ticket prices are deliberately moderate! The pre-sale starts on 1st October. And remember: This year there will be again Christmas, where presents will be exchanged.
