Mainfelt
Southtirol (Italy)The South Tyrolean folk-rock heroes sweep across the stages and instantly turn their audience into ecstasy.
They have become a bit more mature by now, the guys around singer and guitarist Patrick Strobl, whose distinctive voice still evokes images of endless road trips through wide landscapes and through nights in smoky desert bars. But Mainfelt have lost none of their uncompromising passion and their irresistible joy of playing. More than ever the band sounds like what it always means: the feeling of boundless freedom and contagious joie de vivre!
The raw sound of Southtirol
“Royal Rover” is the title of the current tour, which aptly describes the music and character of the likeable quartet: the most casual “handcrafted and heartmade”, with cool hobo charm, but at the same time of almost majestic power.
Patrick and his colleagues Klaus Telfser (bass), Ivan Miglioranza (banjo) and Manuel Gschnitzer (drums) are constantly expanding their repertoire, writing restlessly on new songs and perfecting them in their rousing concerts, stylistically exploring and expanding their boundaries ,
Music with character
Mainfelt always remain unmistakably themselves, and thus, without the band would deny their Americana roots, new elements recognizable: In addition to the usual robust scaffolding of rattling banjo riffs and driving acoustic guitar fresh keyboard and piano sounds show the way into the Future and let appear here and there, tender melancholy facets, until the songs finally lead to those irresistible anthemic choruses, which are sung by the steadily growing Mainfelt fanbase on both sides of the burner from the bottom of his throat.
If you’ve missed it live, you can make up for it at our Paddy’s Night in 2023, when Mainfelt will performe as only a real Royal Rover can!
