The Paraberries

The Paraberries are a blues rock band from Weinheim, Germany. With our music we don’t just sing songs, we tell stories.

Catchy riffs, groovy harp solos and a unique, smoky, warm voice are probably the easiest way to describe the Weinheim blues/rock band The Paraberries. The four young men, all in their early twenties, have been filling numerous clubs and bars in the Rhine-Neckar and Rhine Main Area since 2018, including as a support act for the British rock band The Brew.

The Paraberries are rocking all stages

With their own songs and an energetic performance, they let the golden era of rock music in the style of the late 60s blossom again with a new freshness.

The band consists of David Matuschek on drums, Lars Hördt on bass, Marvin Rick on guitar and singer and harp player Dominik Maciejewski. David and Lars form the backbone of the band. With energetic drum fills and melodic basslines, they form the perfect basis for a gripping rock experience. While Marvin lets feelings of freedom and pure joy come out of the audience’s hearts with the long, sharp tones that he teases out of the guitar, frontman Dominik amazes them with his charismatic manner.

As soon as the young musicians take the stage, the spirit of a bygone era comes to life in a modern version. Local media have already reported on this, such as the Weinheimer Nachrichten on September 2018 wrote: “A touch of the late 1960s passed through the Central, when Maciejewski’s voice fell slightly into vibrato on the long, drawn-out high notes”.

Their first single “Backstage” was released in October 2023, which will be followed by their joint debut album.
