Sunfire

The Old West. Hot, dry and a true mess. Women and men needed true grit to survive the hardships of the newly claimed land. A time of feared outlaws, predatory cattlemen, heroic sheriffs and brave men that won the West. In other words, a time that has been highly romanticized. The tales close to the truth didn’t always have a happy ending.

The troubadours of Sunfire compose tales about these hard times and work as much as they can to entertain the audience with gritty and danceable Alternative Western Folk. Sunfire skillfully blends multiple genres such as folk, americana, roots, rock, and bluegrass to create an original and niche sound. Once you hear and see them perform you can’t resist but to fall in love. Expect raw vocals, enthralling tales, and irresistible rhythms and melodies. An addicting combination to any music lover.

Sunfire is a Western Folk band of five formed in the Netherlands in 2017. Their sound draws from various influences including country, folk, bluegrass, alternate rock and roots. Their stripped-down sound contrasted with americana and demonstrated a rock influence, creating an original and niche voice in the music industry. Expect raw vocals, enthralling tales, and irresistible rhythms and melodies.

In a short amount of time they have grown exponentially in the alternative and mainstream music scene. In the past years they rocked many stages in Europe, winning the hearts of organizers, the press and, most importantly, the audience.

Sunfire write and compose their own material, they released their second album “Sinner’s Town” in August 2018. The band skilfully utilizes americana, folk, country and bluegrass, something you’ll easily pick up on when listening to the album.
